Josephine Gintzburger wanted to work on this Bourgogne, France barn and he wanted to make it into a very distinct and unique home.
It was the kitchen that he wanted to work on. The concrete floor, combined with the concrete counters, does tend to provide that industrial appeal you may want to have in this situation. You also have some stainless steel accents here, which is rather great.
Of course, you also have some storage space on the other side of the concrete counter. You also get to have some chandelier light fixtures which do tend to be rather impressive!
These lighting fixtures in form of a pendant have an industrial style and the mix on its own is really nice. You have a stellar combination of loft and industrial, one that’s really distinct and visually impressive!
Also, you have multiple different spaces upstairs. Some of them are actually in the peak of the older building.
On top of that, you also have a sitting area. This one is located towards the end of the loft. You have a timber arch ceiling and then you also have a way to access the stairs at the end of the kitchen!
At the end of the loft you have a bedroom and here you will also find a way to access the upper level areas. The nice thing about this Michigan barn house is that it’s a very distinct and unique renovation project created by Northworks. It has an exterior that thrives with its older shapes, but the interior is very different from the outside. It has a cool NY loft experience, so you do get a blend of ideas and styles here.

It really shows that the value is there, and the addition of a good dehumidifier just manages to take the experience to new heights. 10. Modern Barn Home Design in Northern Ireland
This barn is located in Northern Ireland, and it has some very distinct modern lines. However, it also manages to combine old and new. It was created by Mcgarry Moon Architects.
The original did have a great stone foundation, and you can see this as a part of the entire product. It’s keeping the regular heritage, and you still have the modern component and touch that you would like to get from this type of barn home.
If you go inside, it just seems that this is a modern home, it doesn’t feel or seem to be any barn home at all.

14. An Eco-friendly Solar Barn
This is a restoration project in Italy that does bring in front a very distinct and unique set of features. It looks great and it does provide you with an incredible value.
This is basically a world heritage site from UNESCO, so they did have to preserve the original while also making a few changes here and there!
As you will see, each beam and board was removed, then it was cleaned and placed back again via a metal frame. This made the process better and the result a lot more interesting to say the least.

If you go near it, you won’t believe that this is a living space. It clearly isn’t like that in the inside though.
Just look at it and you will see. There are 16 windows here and you have a stellar room that gives natural heat and light.
And then you have some cathedral ceilings. These have some exposed beams and you do have wooden floors. You retain the barn structure but you also add some convenience. In the end, results can indeed pay off.
